The Game Was Better?
In a attempt to remake the highly popular video game this movie trys and trys to create the same sense as the game as well show you a movie worth seeing if you dont know the game. Just as it seems to take off theres a hault, a sudden stop in action and back to "dick tracey" meets "Sin City". I actually did enjoy the movie as it related to the game a fair bit but yet mark walberg acted more like mark walberg and not max payne... Just didnt do justice to the game.
P.s: Worth seeing if your a action/suspense movie lover.
So close and yet.....
This film has so many moments where you think, yeah, this is a great film, but the neglect to find a way to string those moments together to make a good movie. There are some moments when you're watching and you step back and think 'what is this scene even for?' The movie leaves alot of questions.
As for action, the beginning has a few great actions scenes, and the end has a few amazing action scenes, but the hour in the middle where it turns into a detective movie is boring! I found myself thinking of alot of other things in the middle. I even turned around in the theatre to find out if anyone else was spacing out like i was. People look rediculous when they watch movies.
As far as movies addapted from video games go, this is by far NOT the worste one out there. I'm excited about the directors cut. Sort of the same situation with Babylon AD.
